'Composer Andy Haines must be congratulated for producing a score that's
modern and innovative, yet reflects and enhances so well the action on
stage.'
Peter Andrews, 20/11/04 www.fringereport.com.
'It is the way Andy is able to translate musically inarticulate
references and transform them into dynamic and startling pieces. I have
never worked with a more open, creative and conscientious designer.'
Dave Langley, director of 'The Furies', 'The Trojan Women'.
'The soundtrack, a brilliantly worked combination of Music Hall and
contemporary, composed by Andy Haines, flowed perfectly and was highly
emotive.'
(The Great Little Tilley), Nick White, Western Gazette 14.10.04

'Andy allows his compositions to take shape based deeply in the
choreographer's artistic vision but within this he manages to always
produce a sound that is sharp, strong, dynamic, sexy, accessible and
unmistakably Andy's.'
Louise Barrett, choreographer, performer, director
of Pretty Good Girl Dance Theatre.
Based in Bath, England, Andy has been producing scores for theatre and contemporary dance since 2001. His music reflects the diverse range of projects on which he collaborates, from the near-eastern textures and rhythms of Greek tragedy ("Trojan Women", "Agamemnon"), through to the fusion of big band, orchestral and urban beats ("The Great Little Tilley", "Morning, Noon and Marilyn Monroe"). Productions featuring his scores have toured nationally as well as being performed in London and, most recently Prague.
2006 saw Andy producing his first full movie score for the film "Another Day" with Andy sending working tracks from his digital studio directly to Los Angeles-based writer/director Nikolas Smith via the Internet. What resulted was a truely creative trans-atlantic collaboration.
Andy has a diploma in media composition from the London School of Creative Studies which you can visit at http://www.musicforthemedia.co.uk. He also teaches bass guitar and manages computer networks.
